Porcelain Pretties...

Samantha Robinson's work is something that I can oooooogle over for hours.  When I was doing the buying for the shop opening in August, I think I spent a good 45min to an hour debating with myself over what pieces to start with in the shop.  If one part of me had my way, Rylo Interiors would have been a Samantha Robinson store!  However, I managed to keep it to a minimum and pick the few pieces that really stood out to me.  Pieces that I loved for the workmanship, design and of course because they are beautiful!

I did purchase an assortment of her beautiful Christmas baubles, I only had them out for a few hours and they were snapped up quick smart!  I didn't even get one for myself!!

So if you think these are lovely in the photos, please come in and see them with your own eyes... They really are special and would be the perfect gift for someone special! xx

The Perfect Coffee Table

I often wonder if there is such a thing a the perfect coffee table...  I find coffee tables one of the hardest things to find for my clients.  Timber, painted, upholstered, big small, square, rectangle, circular there are many options, but not a lot available in Australia.

As part of my new venture with the shop, I have started to design my own pieces of furniture.  Currently I am doing a few upholstered pieces, however, in my frustration I have sent the husband off to get his joinery qualification so we can start to experiment with timber.  If you have any want's or needs please let me know, after all, it is your feedback that will help us create what could be the 'perfect' coffee table!

Orchid Love

Yesterday one of my lovely customers gave me this incredible orchid.  I am so touched by this gift, I have never seen one this big and I am totally in love with the colour!  She grew it herself... wouldn't you love to be able to grow such an amazing plant!??  I just hope I can keep it alive! I will have to get an orchid run down on how to look after it when she is in next!  If any one has any tips please let me know.  Hope you are enjoying your week! xxx

Same top, different bottom...

I am head over heels in love with our new floral lamp shades.  They make my heart sing!!!!  This is them on 2 different lamp bases.

I must apologise for my lack of blogging lately... I had 2 large installs last week and I was living and breathing them for quite a few days!  BUT I am back!!!!  I have sunk myself into the store... lots of goodies are in now for Christmas, and they are selling FAST!  Would be lovely to see you and don't forget we have a free gift wrapping service for your Christmas gifts. xx

Beautiful Belle

I finally sat down to read my new issue of Belle Magazine last night... I nearly died when I saw the gorgeous home in the south of France decorated by Kelly Hoppen.  Known for her trademark neutral palette, she has injected colour into this beautiful Mediterranean villa, creating a home full of surprise explosions of colour... LOVE IT!

Hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weekend! xx

Both images are of the Dec/Jan 2001/12 Issue of Belle Magazine

Bag it up..

If you are like me and have piles of bags from special purchases hidden away... why not display them!!?? I love this idea for that annoying wall in the walk in wardrobe, or hallway between 2 girls rooms.  Its a bit of fun and will clear some room in the bottom of the wardrobe for more shoes! Enjoy your weekend! xxx

The art of colour

The ever talented Kerri from Driftwood Interiors has been busy creating this beauty for me!!  There are 6 small pieces to come, but this I LOVE!  I may just have to keep it all to myself!  If only I could smuggle it home without my husband seeing!  You may have seen it over the weekend in the Courier Mail.  The yucky newspaper paper doesn't seem to show the amazing colour, in person it is even better!  I will let you know when the set of 6 abstract water colours arrive! xx
