Vintage Anyone??

Today has started off well!  Sunny morning, no traffic and deliveries that excite me to no end!!  I have welcomed into the store 3 new gorgeous vintage kelims.  I am so in love I feel I need to build 3 new rooms in my house for each of them!  Here is a little looksy, but you really need to see them in person!  xxx

Cushion Conversation

 I often have customers in store who really just want an update with a low cost... I have always believed if you get the basics right, its so easy to change the look of your room with cushions, lamp shades and rugs. We have just received some of the most gorgeous cushions in store.  Lots of colour, prints and textures.  I have been stuffing cushions left right and centre, here is a small pile of them!  xx

 I am head over heels in love with our new floral lamp shades.  They make my heart sing!!!!  This is them on 2 different lamp bases.

I must apologise for my lack of blogging lately... I had 2 large installs last week and I was living and breathing them for quite a few days!  BUT I am back!!!!  I have sunk myself into the store... lots of goodies are in now for Christmas, and they are selling FAST!  Would be lovely to see you and don't forget we have a free gift wrapping service for your Christmas gifts. xx
 

Beautiful Belle

I finally sat down to read my new issue of Belle Magazine last night... I nearly died when I saw the gorgeous home in the south of France decorated by Kelly Hoppen.  Known for her trademark neutral palette, she has injected colour into this beautiful Mediterranean villa, creating a home full of surprise explosions of colour... LOVE IT!

The art of colour

The ever talented Kerri from Driftwood Interiors has been busy creating this beauty for me!!  There are 6 small pieces to come, but this I LOVE!  I may just have to keep it all to myself!  If only I could smuggle it home without my husband seeing!  You may have seen it over the weekend in the Courier Mail.  The yucky newspaper paper doesn't seem to show the amazing colour, in person it is even better!  I will let you know when the set of 6 abstract water colours arrive! xx

Pretty Pastels

I saw these gorgeous images on the news this morning of a fabulous white carrousel with very pretty ladies in pastels and parasols....

After some serious stalking of pastels, parasols and white carrousel's, I finally figured out it was the AMAZING Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week. Trust Marc Jacobs to have me so fascinated with a single image. I am loving colour at the moment, bright bold colour, but this.... This is Devine....

Colour Therapy

This time of year brings crisp spring mornings, and sometimes, grey rainy days... Our new 100% Lambs wool throws are perfect for the end of the bed, or to snuggle on the couch. Today is very grey and rainy in Brisbane... I want nothing more than to curl up on the lounge with one of these colourful throws, a good book and a cup of tea! The bright colours brighten the day! Enjoy your rainy day! xx

Two of my Favs

Well if you have been into my shop, you would probably be well aware of my love of colour, particularly Navy and Pink. Today I had the pleasure of spending some time with Thea from Thea and Sami playing with her gorgeous fabrics and learning about the process of screen printing your own fabrics. We came up with a gorgeous Navy and Pink design. I was so excited I went through my Interiors images looking for some inspiration. Its not a usual colour combination, but it really works!

True Blue

My love of turquoise just grows and grows. It just seems to make me happy! I have some fabulous turquoise dining chairs in store at the moment and it is taking all of my strength to leave them here and not take them home! The photos above are the work of the fabulous Jonathan Adler. Now that man really is the master of colour... Those gorgeous curtains, and deep buttoned ottoman/coffee table just make my heart sing! Bloomin' Colour

I have been busy collecting images over the past few weeks, keeping myself inspired and motivated to get the store open and looking gorgeous. I had to clean up the desktop on my computer today to make room for some new lovelies... These were a few of my faves! I love the colour, I can't wait for spring! The flowers, the smell, the weather... BLISS!
