Sunny Days and Warm Nights

The past 2 weeks have been a bit of a blur... I have been so busy, yet my brain and my body were still in holiday mode!  I have nearly finished a gorgeous bathroom renovation (Photos to come).  I have put together a few looks for some new lovely clients, and I have been searching high and low for some gorgeous vintage pieces for the shop and clients...  I really do LOVE  my job!

I thought I would just share a few images that have been inspiring me lately... The return of the sunny days is long overdue and I think I go for colour especially when it is so grey outside, I don't think I am ready to give up on Summer! xxx

Cushion Conversation

 I often have customers in store who really just want an update with a low cost... I have always believed if you get the basics right, its so easy to change the look of your room with cushions, lamp shades and rugs. We have just received some of the most gorgeous cushions in store.  Lots of colour, prints and textures.  I have been stuffing cushions left right and centre, here is a small pile of them!  xx

Weekend Wonders

One week back and I'm pooped already!  My horoscope this week says I'll feel much better with a dose of Vitamin D.  Maybe this weekend I'll rustle up a nice lunch like this!  Enjoy the 2 days of bliss xx

Introducing Miss Macy

The gorgeous Miss Macy is part of the new Rylo Interiors custom furniture range.  I originally designed this lounge for a client to use as flexible banquette seating.  I have used it in a few jobs now and there is one in manufacture for my own home!  This comfortable 2 seater is slip covered for easy cleaning and can come in any fabric. Slowly I will be adding to the range, all designed and manufactured in Brisbane! xx 

A day of Anniversaries...

Today is a day many will remember... For me I will always remember 11/1/11 because it was the day I got married!  It was a day of highs and lows... as we got ready for what is said to be 'the happiest day of your life' we were watching the horror and devastation of the floods unravel on TV.  We had such a wonderful day filled with wonderful memories, and we got married against all odds!

How much is the Antique in the Window...

Although today is my first day open for 2012, I came in last week and removed all of the evidence of Christmas and installed new window displays.  Today I came in to find quite a few messages regarding the gorgeous antique sideboard in the window...

It is beautiful isn't it!?   It would have been made around 1910, its american oak and in great condition.  I love the detail on the drawers and the legs.  It is $875.00 and my favourite piece in the shop at the moment! Hope your New Year is off to a flying start! xxxx
