Colour Therapy

This time of year brings crisp spring mornings, and sometimes, grey rainy days... Our new 100% Lambs wool throws are perfect for the end of the bed, or to snuggle on the couch. Today is very grey and rainy in Brisbane... I want nothing more than to curl up on the lounge with one of these colourful throws, a good book and a cup of tea! The bright colours brighten the day! Cushions Galore!

Cushions are such an easy way to update your lounge, we have so many cushions on offer at different prices. The polkadot cushions in our front window are a definite favourite. They are a bit of fun in a huge range of colours. We also have some gorgeous hand embroidered cushions, the colour and detail in these are gorgeous!

Of course if nothing takes your fancy, we can easily come up with a look just for you. Our fabric library is growing each week with a wide range of beautiful designer fabrics.

Two of my Favs

Well if you have been into my shop, you would probably be well aware of my love of colour, particularly Navy and Pink. Today I had the pleasure of spending some time with Thea from Thea and Sami playing with her gorgeous fabrics and learning about the process of screen printing your own fabrics. We came up with a gorgeous Navy and Pink design. I was so excited I went through my Interiors images looking for some inspiration. Its not a usual colour combination, but it really works!

Blue Birds of Happiness

Today is the perfect day for a wedding... the weather really is magic! If you know of someone getting married and are stumped for a gift, we have this beautiful original artwork in store. Limited Edition Artwork

Our gorgeous new watercolour prints are finally in store. I really need to improve my photography skills, because these photos do not do the artwork justice. The colours are so vibrant and the detail is really beautiful!

Flower Power

I have always thought fresh flowers can make a space feel lived in. I will always try to have fresh flowers in store. The colour, the fragrance and just the beauty of them always seem to keep me intrigued. This week we have some gorgeous spray roses and snappys! And don't our beautiful custom turquoise chairs look great!

Windy Weekend

This photo was taken on my wedding day, Tuesday 11 January 2011... it was the day the Brisbane River peaked during the floods and the wind was cyclonic... Todays weather reminded me of the day! It's quite nice really, now annoying wind reminds me of one of the happiest days of my life!

Animal Fantastical

Miranda Skoczek is one of my favourite Australian artists. Her use of colour and interesting subjects always get me thinking. Each time I look at one of her artworks I see something different. This month Edwina Corlette Gallery is exhibiting Miranda's work from 26th September - 15th October. If you get the chance go in and have a look, you wont be disappointed! Happy Friday Everybody! xx

Beautiful Blooms

The beautiful lily's I purchased for the store opening last Saturday are finally starting to open! I have been looking at them all day, and I have decided to stop and grab some on my way home for our dining table. Isn't it funny how such a simple thing as a beautiful bloom can change your mood so significantly! Enjoy your Thursday! xx

House of Windsor

Windsor Smith has long been one of my very favourite designers. Describing herself as a 'lifestyle architect', Windsor longed to design a beautiful family home that through architecture, design and intent, was also beautiful to live in. With the help of Veranda Magazine and 9 of LA's most highly regarded designers, luxury for the modern was redefined in what is a perfect example of a family friendly, useable home (Including designer stables by Kathryn Ireland!)

True Blue

My love of turquoise just grows and grows. It just seems to make me happy! I have some fabulous turquoise dining chairs in store at the moment and it is taking all of my strength to leave them here and not take them home! The photos above are the work of the fabulous Jonathan Adler. Now that man really is the master of colour... Those gorgeous curtains, and deep buttoned ottoman/coffee table just make my heart sing! Hope your Tuesday is going well!

After a long week of late nights and early mornings, the shop is finally open for business! It will be an ever-evolving space, there a still so many pieces to come.
